What Oikonomia is
A free tool that helps a household understand and plan its money. It is offered as it is, without charge and without warranty.
It is guidance, not advice
Oikonomia gives general household guidance. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal or debt advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. It is not regulated by SEBI, the RBI or any other authority, and it does not recommend investments or products.
Check the figures
Oikonomia reads bank statements automatically, and automatic reading can be wrong. Amounts you type can be wrong. The assistant can be wrong. Every figure shows where it came from precisely so you can check it before acting on it. Decisions about your money remain yours.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure, and for who you invite into your household. Anyone in your household can see the household's plan and records. Share your household code only with people you intend to have that access.
Your data
Your financial records live on your devices. Losing your device, clearing your browser data, or erasing the app's data removes them, and they cannot be recovered. Keep your own copies of anything you would be sorry to lose. See Privacy for what is stored where.
Fair use
Please do not attempt to break, overload or misuse the service, or use it to process financial records that are not yours to process.
Limits
To the extent the law allows, Oikonomia and whoever operates it are not liable for any loss arising from use of the app, including from a figure it read incorrectly. The service may change or stop at any time.
Changes
These terms may be updated. Continuing to use Oikonomia after a change means accepting the updated terms.
